Ask and You Shall Receive: the right cars, with the discounts already applied.
Describe the rental you actually want, in your own words, and we will pull up those rates with the coupons and discounts already applied.
Type it or say it — "premium SUV from Avis or Budget near my house", "automatic mid size at LHR next Friday in pounds", "one way from MCO to FLL, cheapest" — and Ask takes you straight to those rates. No scrolling a thousand results you did not ask for, no ads between you and the price. Our coupons and discounts are already applied to every search, exactly as they are in the regular booking engine.
The More Specific You Get, the Better This Works
Most rental searches punish you for being picky — ask for something particular and your options vanish. Ask works the other way round. Name the car, the companies, the extras and the currency in a single sentence, and we go and find those rates. Say "premium SUV from Avis or Budget with unlimited miles" and that is what comes back.
Name the vehicle, not the class. Ask for a Nissan Rogue, a Jeep, a Ford Explorer or a Chrysler Pacifica and we will search the rental class that vehicle actually sits in, so you are looking at the right cars instead of guessing which category holds them.
Ask for your discount to be applied. Over 50? Ask for your Senior discount to be applied. Have other discounts? They can be applied as well. Ask will apply the best discount for your rental.
Ask for more than one class at once. "Mid size or full size car in Los Angeles" searches both. So does "any SUV", "compact or economy", or "a van or a wagon" — useful when you care about price more than the badge on the back. Plus, we added more individual filters including multiple SUV clases.
Pick your agencies in plain words. "From Avis or Budget", "major rental agencies only", or name a single company or multiple agencies. Ask sets the filter for you.
Say what the trip is. "Family road trip", "ski trip", "moving a one bedroom", "airport dash", "wedding" — Ask sets sensible filters for that kind of trip and tells you plainly what it did and what it could not do.
Ask about space. "Room for three big suitcases", "seven of us" — we narrow the search by seats and give you honest guidance on luggage, because rental companies count bags very differently from one another.
Add the details you would otherwise hunt for. On airport pickup only, automatic transmission, unlimited mileage, your currency, a street address instead of an airport code, a discount you belong to. Say it in the same sentence and it is applied.
Ask in your own language. Ask understands Spanish, French and many other languages. Write the request the way you would say it out loud.
Change your mind after you search. Ask remembers what you just looked for, so "make it a full size" or "try Denver instead" runs the whole search again with that one thing changed.
Sort results without the click. Looking for the cheapest car rental or the closest to your address? Just mention it to Ask and your results will be sorted.
Getting the Most Out of Ask:
Say everything in one go. Location, dates, times, the car and the extras can all live in a single sentence — you do not have to answer questions one at a time.
Relative dates work. "Next Friday to Sunday", "this weekend", "the 14th to the 21st" all resolve, so there is no need to look up a calendar first.
If something can not be filtered, we let you know. All wheel drive is a good example: plenty of ski-country SUVs have it, but our searches can not filter for it, so Ask tells you to look for it in the results instead.
If we are not sure what you meant, we ask one short question instead of guessing.
Prefer the drop-downs? The Search tab above is the same booking engine with the same coupons and discounts built in. Nothing is lost by switching back and forth.
